February 15th, 2010LEAF APTUS-II 8
Leaf imaging has released what it says is the industry’s fastest medium format camera back, in the shape of Aptus-II 8. This latest back can capture a frame in under 0.8 seconds (1.25 fps) and can shoot 60 full resolution frames in a minute.
Leaf Aptus-II 8 medium format digital camera back has been announced by Leaf Imaging today. The announcement seems to be honest – as Leaf usually does – that the back can be connected to large format cameras. It would seem to be that they are continuing the “tradition” of not using microlenses on any of their backs, not even the 28-megapixel Aptus II 6, which is also sports a 44mm x 33mm, even though Sinar’s version, the eSprit 65 does have microlenses.
It has been seen in the past that professional photographers already rely on Leaf for accurate color rendering that adds shape and superior film-like quality. This gadget is for superior image quality, with true to life skin tones for portrait and fashion assignments, and richly detailed images for any technical photography requirements.
Leaf Aptus-II 8 medium has a great combination of quality captures and the fastest digital back system, which make this gadget the number one choice for the professional photographers. The 40MP camera back is available at a retail price of €13.995.
