February 2nd, 2008The M2406 iPod Nano lunched by BTL
If these manufactured goods seem familiar it is because it is a blatant, barefaced knockoff. BTL global has created their own version of the new iPod Nano, which they have known a far less catchy name – the M2406. There is a bit of a twist, though – this non-Nano has a 2 megapixel camera shoved into it. As a Nano owner, that’s actually an idea that I could with no trouble get at the back.
The devices hold a full range of formats – AVI for video, and MP3, WMA, WMV and WAV for audio. The screen is a 2.4 inch TFT at 220 x 176 pixels and 262,000 colors. The devices offer something else that the real thing doesn’t have – a built-in speaker. Interior memory is obtainable in a range of capacities from 128MB to 4GB, and a miniSD card can balance the flash memory. There’s no word on the price or ease of use of the device, or when Apple will file their inevitable copyright breach lawsuit.
